Well Ryan has officially returned back to work. So far, so good. Teague and I are adjusting to mommy and Teague time. He was a bit spoiled while he was sick by being held a lot so he doesn't want to take any naps during the day unless I am holding him, so we are working on getting back to a routine of Teague putting himself to sleep. He doesn't like it and I don't really enjoy listening to him yell at me either! Ryan seems to be adjusting to being back at work but he really misses Teague by the time he gets home around 3. Today is his last day of the week so tomorrow we will have time for the 3 of us. We are planning to get Teague's pictures taken (again), he has changed so much!
The reunion was fun. I didn't stay for very long being that Teague wasn't feeling good and I was feeling a bit guilty leaving him. Ryan had a good time, though I do think he spent time mostly with the friends that he sees on a fairly regular basis anyway!
We don't have much planned for the Labor Day weekend. We are planning to go to a movie and dinner on Saturday night since we haven't had a night out just Ryan and I yet - it has always been with other people. I am looking forward to it and I know Ryan is just because we are going to see the movie he has been wanting to see all summer (Bourne Ultimatum).
Have a safe a fun last weekend of summer!

First illness
Poor little Teague. I think Ryan and I feel worse than he does - he has a little cold. I am a little surprised by it as I thought exclusively breastfed babies don't tend to get sick. He has this stuffy little nose and a dry little cough. Like I said, I think it bothers his mama and daddy more than him. Our nights have been a little tough with the cold (he wants to be held a lot more right now and who are we to argue with a baby who just wants to be cuddled?!). But through it all he still manages to give us some smiles and tell us beauitful little cooing stories! I have posted a picture of him smiling and also a video of him on his boppy pillow with a few coos here and there.
Tuesday Ryan will be back at work. It feels so surreal that we are already looking at school starting and even more weird that September is right around the corner! Saturday Teague will be 6 weeks old already. Where does the time go? We will be having our second night out without Teague on Saturday night when we go out with some friends and also to Ryan's 10 year class reunion. I am sure we will miss Teague a ton, but it will be fun for us to be out as well!

One month old ALREADY!!
Well I can hardly believe it. Teague was one month old yesterday! The time has went so fast, I feel a bit sentimental about it all because if this month went this fast, I can only imagine how every month will be like from here on out!
Teague continues to give us adorable smiles and is cooing and talking a little more each day! Ryan and I always look at him and are absolutely amazed that we made this beautiful little guy. We feel so fortunate!
We had a good time at the fair in Morris. I ran into a lot of my high school classmates. It was weird that we were all standing around holding our babies! I guess we are grown up now! Teague didn't seem to enjoy the fair all the much, I think he thought it was too noisy for him! We also went on a tour of the new Morris hospital that Teague's Nana had so much involvement in planning. Nana did a great job on our tour and we were throughly impressed with their new facility. The Labor and Delivery rooms were especially beautiful.
Ryan is back to work in less than 2 weeks. He said he has always been ready to go back, but he doesn't feel ready this year...we are having too much fun! I think it will be hard on all of us when Ryan returns to work.

What a Big Boy!
Well Teague had a 3 week weight check on Monday and in one week he gained 1 pound! We knew he was going through a growth spurt last week with his frequent feedings, so it was good to see that he now weighs 11 pounds! He is so long he is rapidly outgrowing his 0-3 month clothes! He is such a good sleeper now too. He usually wakes up to eat around 2:30, then again around 6:30 and then will sleep until 9:00. So we can't complain about sleeping or eating, he is doing so well!
We have continued to have quite a few outings and he seems to enjoy getting out (even if he is just sleeping the whole time)! We are going to the fair in Morris this weekend, just Teague and I, because Ryan is going to a wedding in Lakeville and I thought that was a little too far away for Teague to travel.
It is hard to believe it is already August and that Ryan will be going back to work in just a short 2.5 weeks. Ugh, I am not looking forward to that. However, it will be fun for Teague and I to have mommy and me time too - but we sure will miss having Daddy around.
I hope you enjoy the pictures that I added and that you got to watch the video of Teague snoring!

Teague Smiles!
Well I know the developmental books say that babies won't smile socially until 4 weeks - but I guess Teague is a little more advanced (he did come out weighing what a 6 week old would weigh afterall!) - but he is smiling at us now! He smiles more at myself than Ryan - I think it is because the smiles usually come after his morning feeding and he is just happy he has a full belly! He also seems to be trying to coo and talk to us as well. It is sooo fun! I can't believe he is already 3 weeks old and everyday he is more alert and more fun!
