Mohawk and Appointments

Teague got a mohawk this week and we think he looks so cute! He still loves preschool and taking care of Lola. He's such a great brother and would do just about anything to make his sister happy. He will be such a good husband someday!

Lola has been giving us a run for our money (I know what else is new). She's been crawling out of her crib and then literally staying up all night, like from midnight until 5am. It's exhausting. So we invested in a crib tent. Basically she looks like a caged animal. I made a huge deal about how cool sleeping with a tent was and so far so good. Plan B will be to put her in a big girl bed and put a child proof door knob on the door and if she feels like getting up at night she can play in her room alone!

Lola also had her 2nd visit to the dentist. The picture lies a bit because she hated it. But amazingly her teeth are great! T did great, teeth look good and he loves quirky Dr Gregg too.

Lola is doing well with her tubes. She initally failed her 1 month follow up hearing test, which was concerning being that heredity hearing loss runs in my dad's side of the family. So today we had her follow up to that appointment. She failed the same test again and then they did one where she had to do nothing but stay still (that's asking a lot of her though) and luckily she passed that one. I was feeling pretty sick to my stomach there for a few minutes. So now when Lola can't "hear" it's just on purpose!!

Busy January

It's been a crazy month. Even the weather is all over the place! A quick synopsis of the past 3 weeks:

We had a great time during our week off from work, school and daycare after Christmas. We did, however, all battle some sort of illness but still made time for fun activities like ice skating! Lola enjoyed just playing with the snow more than ice skating.

The first week in January I went with Erica to Seattle to help Dana and Ken move back to MN. It was fun for Erica, Ken and I (the outlaws) to drive back to MN. We made a lot of fun memories!

We've been busy wrestling, playing, going to tae kwon do, dressing up and just having fun!

Tomorrow the kids have a 6 month dental appointment and while I'm on call all weekend we are going to Morris to help daddy scout and watch some ball games.
