So tired.
Look at Teague in this picture. He's so tired that he doesn't even realize that his long body is busting right out of his 3T pj's (and he is not even 2 yet)! I went in to check on him before bed and couldn't believe that he had un-zipped his pj's. Upon closer inspection I revealed that no, the zipper had actually split from mid-chest to knees. The dilemma then became whether to leave him half dressed all night or wake him and put new pj's on...I put new pj's on without any problems. Ahh, the chubbiness of it all!! =) ....and yes, he always sleeps like a puppy on his pillow the short length of the crib!

The Envelope Please?
Today we had the big HALF WAY there ultrasound. My prayers for having a healthy baby have worked! I am pleased to tell you that this baby is measuring right on track: 3 vessel cord, no Down's, no cleft palate, a 4 chamber heart, perfect (smart) brain, no spina bifida (perfect spine), enormous feet and a girl! The last part shocked me! I expected to be the mother of two boys, so that was just the icing on an already good report of a healthy baby. We (like last time) had the ultrasound tech place the results of the ultrasound in an envelope so we would find out the gender in private - just us. We are so thrilled that Teague will be forever tormented by a sister, or maybe it will be the other way around?! Nonetheless, what a blessing this adventure has been thus far!
Also like last time, you will have to wait to find out the name. I am sure we will come up with a "fake" ugly name, but until then it's our only surprise...
Yep, she's ours - big feet like the three of us!
Just look at that face - chubby cheeks already (Teague will love pinching those!)

Some Pics that Make Me Smile.
It's been an emotionally exhausting week. Thank goodness for the weekend. We had ECFE on Tuesday night for the first time and even though Teague was not feeling the best, he really enjoyed it. Really he enjoyed all the new toys to explore! He had some bug all week so he did not spend a full week at daycare, I think he enjoyed one day with daddy and one with Papa. He wasn't so sure about going back to daycare this week after being gone all last week (the two days he went this week), which broke my heart because he has never fought us on going to daycare. So here's to hoping next week is better.
Below are a couple of pics that make me smile (and I need that right now!).
This is the picture I took during Christmas break when we found out we were expecting. This is how Teague and I let Ryan know when he got home from basketball practice. Doesn't Teague look so proud?? (If you can't read it, it says "Can you believe it?? Mommy's knocked UP!!")
If you read this blog often enough you know that Teague loves Yo Gabba Gabba! Well since we weren't here to get an Easter basket together for him (thank goodness for Grandparents!) we bought him a "Brobee" Gabba doll that sings and dances. Well he absolutely adores that thing. He asks for it constantly - he actually prefers it at times to his "me me" (blanket). This is what I found when I went to check on him before I went to bed! I couldn't stop laughing! I don't think he could get Brobee closer to him if he tried!
Hope your weekend is good...

Weeeeeeeeeeeee're Back!
We are back on U.S. soil. We had an amazing and relaxing vacation. I read four novels, Ryan read 3 boring history books (one of which I read the copyright date of 1964). We did the same thing everyday for the most part; slept in, ate breakfast, laid in the sun, ate lunch, laid in the sun some more, took a nap, ate dinner, and socialized in the lounges, pool area etc, and to bed. I did not put on more than mascara and lip gloss every night and never took a single hair appliance to my hair - it was awesome! I ate A LOT of guacamole and pico de gallo, that's what I was most craving when we were getting ready to go on the trip! We had a very nice time, but I can tell you that by the end of the week I was pretty homesick for Teague. We missed him terribly! Most of our conversations revolved around what Teague would say about a certain situation, how much he would love the ocean, and every Gabba song can somehow relate to everyday situations, even in Mexico!

We got into Mpls last night, went home, did laundry, slept in our own beds and then met up with my family at church this morning. I can't tell you how excited I was to see Teague! I came out the door of the church when he arrived with my parents and he looked at me and in a disbelieving way said "Mommy?" and then with this most excited look he came running to me screaming "MOMMY!" and I actually started to cry, I was so happy to finally have him in my arms!
After church we had an Easter egg hunt at Nana and Papa's. He totally got the hang of that right away and was right in there with Skylar and Chase finding all his eggs and treats. It was so fun to watch him and his excitement!
So now it's back to the real world on Tuesday. We still have tomorrow off of work, which is nice, and then back to work. I think our tans will be faded by Tuesday in this cold weather! I used SPF 30 the whole time and I still can't believe how tan I got!
Have a great week.

Yep, Table of 4!
Getting ready to visit the animals at the University barn with Papa (he isn't excited at all, is he?!)
First off, thanks for all the congrats on our news. We're so over the moon and excited that we are going to be a Table of 4! However, I guess I don't really see us eating out all that much as I am sure life will be chaotic with a 2 year old and infant, but we are thrilled about it!
My second trimester is wonderful. It's actually blissful. I feel normal again. If it weren't for my starting to balloon belly, I don't think I would even know I was pregnant!! My first trimester was a blur of nausea and sleeping as often as I could - which was very difficult while my husband was coaching. He was great when he was home, giving me a break to take a nap at 6pm and then going to bed AGAIN for the night at 8pm! Ha!
We thought we were having the BIG ultrasound this week, but my OB says I won't have it until I return from Mexico. Oh well, I guess I wasn't planning to do that much gender specific baby shopping while on vacay!
Speaking of vacay, Mexico is here in just 3 days! WOO HOO! I am very excited to eat and eat, since I can't drink and drink - it will be nice to relax and we know Teague will be in great hands!
The sad news in our lives is that my Uncle Bola who was diagnosed with brain cancer a little less than a year ago passed away last week. Once he got sick he passed on quickly, which was a blessing. Nobody wants to see someone they care about suffer and have no quality of life. It's been a tough road watching my dad, who was so incredibly close to Bola (both are retired and live in the same community) experience the deterioration of my uncle over the past year. I think my dad will have some lonely days ahead of him, but I know he is looking forward to our new little monkey to watch over! Something about little kids can put a smile on just about anyone's face.
I hope you all are enjoying the snow---as far as I am concerned it can snow all it wants as long as I get out of here on time and it is spring when I return! =)
Adios!
