We had a great long weekend. It was really hard to go back to work after 3 days off in the beautiful weather - usually this would be our last week of school but being that Memorial Day is early this year we still have next week. So I can handle one and a half more weeks.
Teague has become a complete Mama's boy. I think it's just because we spend the most time together, but now that Ryan is around more with baseball over it gets a bit old. I attached a video so you can hear that everything is "MOMMY" in our house. You can hear him in the video saying "Man, man" because he wanted to watch a video of himself where he was saying "Oh MAN", but this was the most cooperative video to post where he is not chasing the camera! So back to Mama's boy, for instance, it's breakfast time, I am getting my stuff ready for the day and Ryan is going to pour Teague cereal and this is what I hear "NO! Mommy." Or tonight before bed Teague asks for "Brobee?" and Ryan reaches into his crib to get Brobee to which he screams "NO! Mommy." and Ryan gives Brobee to me so I can hand it to Teague and Teague replies with the nicest and most well mannered "Tanks" to me. Not Ryan. So it's a bit endearing for me, however causes me a lot of work to make him happy - so also my own fault to which I will just have to break this bossy habit of his. I just keep thinking it won't last and pretty soon (like when baby sis comes home) he will have NOTHING to do with me. Savor, savor, savor these days! Speaking of Teague being bossy, he was bossing me around about something (I know, prisoner of my own problem) and I turned to him and said "What, do you think you are the boss around here?" and he told me, "No, Papa. Boss." Oh, well I think it is time to restrict these one on one visits with Papa as he also told me that his diaper was "panties" - which is also courtesy of Papa. Oye.
I am excited to say that I have accepted a new position (in addition to my current job) as an on-call Crisis Response Practitioner. Essentially I will be working on call for area hospitals to be called in if they have a mental health patient that they need assistance in setting up services for follow up, etc. It's complicated, but very exciting for me to further my career in another area. As most of you know I am taking a year leave of absense from my job when baby sis arrives, so who knows where this may lead???
Have a great week!
