I guess it's called false labor!

Just some advice I should take (and give) - I don't recommend letting your husbands leave the state when you have only 2.5 weeks left of being preggers. I had some false labor all weekend long! It was scary with Ryan gone because who am I to know when it is true or false labor - I've never done this before. I had some quite regular contractions over the course of a few hours and then they would stop. It was weird because I was excited about the potential about finally meeting Dunstan and then worried because I still feel like I have a lot to do - as if I get to decide when Dunstan arrives! Then I was feeling so bad that I was going to have to call Ryan and tell him to come home on the same flight he arrived on in Vegas or worse yet - that he would miss the birth of his first child! Well it ended up nothing... But the false labor continued through yesterday. I finally called my OB and they had me come in last night and have an ultrasound, get checked and have a non-stress test. Everything came back fine, I was having contractions during my non-stress test and Dr. Heller commented on the baby being "quite hyper" - yeah, I know this! So here's to hoping that something will happen soon! Just a little over two weeks left until the due date! Saturday is a full moon, and they say more babies are born during full moons....here's to wishful thinking!

Daddy Dusha is off to Las Vegas...

Well Ryan left this afternoon for a bachelor party in Las Vegas. We had an OB appt. this morning, but Dr. Heller didn't check me. The deal between Ryan and I was that if I was dialating he wouldn't go. Man, he got off soooo easily! I guess I am not too nervous about anything happening baby-wise. I am going to Morris to spend the weekend with my parents, so I will be in good hands with Mother Mohr, the nurse. I have continued to have some contractions, but nothing regular. I still feel so good and so normal, it makes me nervous! I hope Dunstan isn't THAT comfortable that he decides it is not necessary to come out!! Oh, Dr. Heller did say in probing my belly that he thought Dunstan was around 7 pounds! WHOA, and I still have 3 weeks left? He is going to be around 15 pounds by the time he decides he has run out of room!

We went to have professional belly pictures taken yesterday, and then a few days after Dunstan's birth we will bring him in to have his pics taken as well. It was really fun! After that we went to St. Cloud to have dinner with Ryan's parents as a belated Father's Day for Dave and then it was off to Menard's where we spend a majority of our paychecks. I hope that ends someday! Ryan has finished all the landscaping projects and he did such a great job. One day I will go outside and take some pics of the house.

So before I leave for my parent's house I packed a hospital bag. Wow, that's kind of hard to know what you REALLY need and what you don't really need... but I thought I should start being a little prepared...though I think I probably have some time yet!

Have a great weekend...

Well I had my 36 week appt. today. I was hoping that I was dialated - not because I want Dunstan born NOW, but because I am hoping that my body is starting to do SOMETHING. Nope, closed up tighter than Fort Knox. Wouldn't you just know it...argh!

I took care of Chase and Skylar yesterday because their daycare is on vacation. I braved it all and at 8.5 months pregnant I took them to the beach. They were really good, but I think I got too much sun and was completely exhausted afterwards (you know, with a 3 and 6 year old - you have to haul 5000 blow up toys and chase them around the beach in the wind).

Other than that, life is uneventful (that's okay). I have been making and freezing meals like crazy. We are doing some furniture shopping tomorrow for the basement with the possibility that it will be finished before Dunstan arrives. Let's hope it is anyway....

I went into work for a couple of hours on Monday and the secretary at school, Geri, met me at the door and said “oh that baby is going to be born really soon”! I said “HOW SOON??” and she said 3 weeks, so that would be around July 2nd. The 2nd is Dave’s 60th birthday, so that would be pretty weird if this baby is born then as well! Dunstan moves around a lot, but his movements aren’t as major and I can tell he is starting to run out of room! We’ll see what Dr. Heller says when I see him on Friday. Last night Ryan and I went to the movie, “Knocked Up”. It was so funny. It was rather crude humor, but still funny. During the movie I had two really big contractions 5 minutes apart. Now, if those are braxton hicks contractions I am getting the drugs available to me ASAP! I started to worry a little that this baby is on his way and I have so much stuff that I still want to get done! Luckily the contractions stopped. I hope when I see Dr. Heller on Friday that he checks me. I am curious if I am dialating or not.
