Well we had a great time at Uncle Bola's birthday party this weekend. His son, Jason, flew up from N.C. and surprised him and then my aunt Jeri and her husband Robert from Texas (I think she calls herself "Ant Jeri" - must be a southern thing) surprised him at the party. It was emotional, but so exciting. I think Bola was really surprised and touched. Unfortunately after the party he seems to be doing a little worse with the cancer, but he is down in Mpls for some appointments with a Dr. there. Hopefully he will get some better news. Teague was good at the party. Took his normal nap and then played like crazy with all the cousins and extended cousins. He went on a few wagon rides, played in the sandbox (aka: ate sand) and ate TONS of food. He was in his glory. The food was amazing - a pig roast, mmmmmmmm!!!
Teague has been very busy at making public appearances. Last week on Friday he came to school with mama and daddy to be a guest speaker in the Child Development class. He was so good even though it was during his nap time. He just crawled around the circle entertaining the whole class. Since he didn't have much to say besides "dada, DAAAAAAAAAADA, AAAHHHHHH, DAA", we did a majority of the talking. I think the students really cared little about what we said and were more interested in watching Teague eat like a pig, drink from his sippy cup and crawl around. He found the "Baby Think it Over" babies (you know, those babies that have a computer in them and they cry and need to be fed, burped, rocked or have their diaper change and then the student is graded on how well they took care of the baby) and loved them. I told Ryan I think that Teague is ready for his own doll. He wasn't as convinced.
Then Saturday was the party. Then on Monday we celebrated Skylar's 7th birthday. And yesterday Ryan and I needed to do some shopping so Teague went to Grandma's while we went out for dinner and shopped. I promised Teague that he would stay home with us tonight and just get to play with his toys at home. He seemed happy about that.
Other goings ons:
* He has 4 teeth up top and 2 on the bottom and if you can believe this - he is getting a molar! Poor boy. His gum is bruised black and blue from it, but he seems fine and doesn't complain.
* We have 4 days left of school and then we will be home with Teague! YIPPEE!!! I can't wait to be home with him and just be able to play!
* The pool still looks like a toilet (that's what Jaci called it) - hopefully now that all the chemicals are in and the filter is on, the water will look less rusty and more clear!
Have a great week.

Oh no! I wasn't saying that YOUR pool looked like a toilet. It looks great, and the chemicals will clear that right up.
I was trying to be funny, what's the old sign that they used to post by swimming pools say:
"We don't swim in your toilet, so don't piss in our pool"
:o)
Yeah, yeah right. It does TOTALLY look like a toilet, so go ahead and come over and pee in it now. Nobody would EVER be able to tell!
