New York, New York!

I have been busy packing for our trip to NYC. We leave tomorrow for Mpls and then we leave bright and early Monday morning. I, however, have not packed a thing for myself. I have just been getting everything ready for Teague and making sure he will have everything he needs while Nana and Papa stay with him. I am super excited about our trip, however I am feeling a little sadness/anxiety about leaving Teague. I know he will be fine, but me...well, that may be another story! We are going to NYC with my sister and her husband. We have dinner and a Avenue Q reservations on Monday, Tuesday is the Twins vs. the Yankees at Yankee stadium and then Wednesday and Thursday are reserved for serious shopping and tourisy type of things. It should be a good time. Now I just need to get my butt off of the computer and onto packing (for me).

Teague is a toddler - well at least according to some people. I prefer to still think of him as my baby. He had his one year check and continues to make good strides! Because of the medicine he was on (that he had an allergic reaction to) he lost one pound, so he is down to 25 lbs., 8 oz. = 90th percentile (that's the first time this kid has even been below 95th!), his height is 33.5 inches = off the charts. So he is still busy growing. His walking is great - as a matter of fact he mostly trots now. He does these amazing little "u-turns" in an attempt to get away from me when he has something he shouldn't have. Luckily he is NOT faster than me - yet. He can also tell you what a dog says and he loves to say "hi", "hi there", and "bye" to anyone who will look at him. I am starting to feel bad for him when we are in public and people ignore his greetings! At least he doesn't seemed discouraged at this point.
