8 months, here and gone!

Ahhhh - baby Teague. He is getting so big. Can you believe that 8 months have already passed?! I hardly can believe it. It ha easily been the best 8 months of my life. I didn't know that life could get any better, and then we added Teague to our lives. We count our blessings everyday knowing full well that there are many people who aren't as fortunate as we are to experience the joy of parenthood.

We have spring fever at our house big time. Unfortunately with living in the country, until the snow melts off of the Wobegon Trail, it is pretty hard to get out for walks. I am excited to get the bikes down too. I rode my bike on the trail a few times last spring, but eventually my belly got big enough that my knees were hitting it every time I peddled. So up on the hooks in the garage went the bike. Now that Teague is old enough (last fall he still wasn't) - I can put him in the bike stroller and pull him behind me on my bike. Here is a cute pic of Teague begging to go outside:

I am happy to report that Ryan's team is playing in the sub section championship game tomorrow night at SJU. They play NL-S, who happens to be ranked #2 in state. It will be a tough game, but I think we have the capability of beating them if the boys bring their "A" game - or something like that. Anyway, last night's game was at 8 pm and since daycare was closed today and Papa was coming over anyway, he came last night so that I didn't have to drag poor Teague out WAY past his bedtime for the game. I think that Teague and Papa had a good day together. We are going out with some friends tomorrow after the game - but the game itself is another late game, so I am still debating what I should do - babysitter or drag him with?!

Teague is very mobile these days. He is getting into lots of stuff and loving every second of it. He doesn't, however, know how to get himself out of some "tight" situations. Here in this pic you can see that he doesn't smile all of the time (about 99% of the time he does smile). He crawled between the glider rocker and ottoman in his room and then was frustrated that he couldn't get back out:
Two of my former students, Rhonda and Jen, came over to see us on Wednesday night. Rhonda comes over and cuts and colors my hair so I don't have to go to the salon. It's like having my own personal stylist come to my house!! I had to take a picture because about a month ago I went to watch Jen play basketball for SCTC and took the most adorable pic of Teague with her after the game - with my cell phone. I cannot for the life of me get it off of my cell phone, so I kept telling her I needed a different pic to put on the blog of her with him. Jen had a good game that night - I think she even learned a few signs from the deaf coach from the other team, right Jen?! Rhonda is on the left and Jen on the right:

Speaking of sign language I have been teaching Teague some basic signs. One of which is "more" - well the sign for "more" consists of tapping your fingertips together. He tries to do it, but ends up clapping his hands. I think we are teaching him too many new things at once with his hands (sign language, clapping, high 5, and waving bye bye). Poor thing is already confused!

OMG, look at him standing. Is he really old enough to be doing that already? Time flies.

I love that he got trapped! When Milo does that, Q comes running to "help" and just starts pulling on him. Then Milo cries harder...it's a mess. T's looking so awesome, what a stud! :o)
