We have had a hectic week. On Monday Teague started showing signs of a pretty major rash (started to look like poison ivy) and by Tuesday morning (and being up with him from 11:30 - 2:30 a.m.) he had a solid red rash from cheeks to toes, it was swollen and hot to the touch. We took him in to see Dr. Heller and we found out that he is also allergic to the bactrim that he was on for the ear infection. Now for those of you keeping track, he is allergic to two antibiotics - the other is amoxicillian. He has only been on two antibiotics in his lifetime and both times for ear infections (thank you top teeth)! Poor babe. I guess that BS they tell you about nursing your baby will make them have less allergies is a bunch of crap. "They" say to nurse the baby until 6 months for it to be most beneficial and up to a year for that added extra cushion. Well this babe was nursed until he was 10.5 months and continues to get the liquid gold in a bottle. AAHH! Anyway, Tuesday night - same thing, up from midnight to 3 a.m. I was exhausted. Finally last night we seem back to the 12 straight hours of normal slumber. The weird thing is that he wasn't sad or acting like he was upset while he was awake, just playing - like literally running around the bonus room while I watched TV and wished him to sleep. It was crazy.
Then yesterday he went to daycare so that Ryan and I could get some stuff done in St Cloud. On my way home from dropping him off I hit the shoulder of the road JUST SLIGHTLY and my car died DEAD on the side of the road. The engine would turn over, just not start. So after having it towed to our mechanic, I find out that a rock from hitting the shoulder flew up and cracked my fuel line! Can you believe it, isn't that just a freak thing?!
Anyway, hope your week is good and Happy 4th!!

Hey hey hey let's not be poo-pooing your valiant efforts nursing! It reduces the risk not cures all- imagine where you would be without it...we'll never know(: So, I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt- poor guy): I hope he is doing better!
What a week, if anything I can relate...but keep on keepin' on and things will smooth over just fine!
