Busy Bodies

Whew, I have been AWOL on this blog as of late. We have been really busy - well busy for us anyway. We have been trying to get in as many fun things as possible before D-day, which for me is Monday and is Tuesday for Ryan. So sad. I could have a panic attack just thinking about it. I swear, it's like going back after maternity leave - again. I guess I should get used to it, I will be doing this every year at this time for the next ba-jillion years.

Last week we went to the county fair in my parent's town. We had a good time and Teague loved the rides until it was his bedtime and then it was not fun anymore. He loved the kiddie barn and seeing the baby animals. Unfortunately he thinks they all go "woof woof" or "moo".

Last Sat. we got together at the Wahlin's cabin with 5 other couples. We had a really good time. So good I can't talk about it. All the goings on make it top secret. Here are a few normal pictures.

Yesterday I went to Mpls with my mom, sister and niece for a girls day. We went shopping, ate good food and then went to "Swing!" at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre. It was really nice to be with the girls and have one last hurrah before back to school. Tonight Skylar is staying overnight. She wanted to hang with her auntie (more like wanted to play with Teague) before she is back to school. Tomorrow we are going to get pedicures and have our toes painted with cool little designs. It's such a big help having her here. She entertains and plays with Teague so it's kind of a break for Ryan and I, and Teague loves having someone else play/read with him besides us!

Other than that, Teague has been very busy learning. He LOVES books. He hands you a book and then turns around and backs into your lap to be read to. He particularily loves the books that have other kids in them and learning the body parts. The word of the week is "eyes?". I write it with a question mark because that is what it sounds like everytime. Of course he still has his normal words: Skylar ("Dyla"), Nana, Daddy, ball, book, bottle ("baba?"), Dada (which is not daddy - it's everyone else. He calls everyone else whose name he doesn't know, Dada. That includes me. Great.), puppy, etc. etc. I know I am forgetting them all because it seems like he is saying a new one everyday. Here he is pointing to and saying his favorite new word:
