We are fully ready for summer to arrive! Today is my last day of the school year and I'm excited for what's to come. Sunday I leave for 11 days with my friend and co-worker, Joy, and 29 student to Spain and Portugal! I'm thriled for the experience. I will, of course, miss my babes, but they will get to have all kinds of fun while I'm gone too!
We are planning to go camping, attend a few family and friend functions, celebrate a lot of birthdays and most of all a TON of swimming shall take place as T has already been bush breaking in the swimming pool, even with it being only in the 50's this week.
Last weekend T had his cousin and best bud, Chase, sleep over. We headed over to the Long Drive In movie theatre in Long Prairie and enjoyed an hour of "Pirates, Band of Misfits" until the rain storm forced us into our car and home. It was 10:30 pm by then, so past bedtime anyway!
Last weekend the kids and I drove up to Morris to surprise Nana and Papa with a visit. While there Teague got to be the first grandchild to take papa's new boat for a spin! He LOVED it, and even got a gift certificate to the DQ from the DNR officer for wearing his (actually Skylar's old pink Bratz girls) life jacket.
We really just love listening to Lola's "comments" and the conversations she is starting to have. A few of my favorite "Lola-isms":
- "Wanna go on Charlie (trampoline)?"
- (When mad) "Mommy/Daddy/Teaguie, I TOLD YOU!"
- "Where's daddy? Bakeyball?" (usually in the next room)
- "Is mommy shopping?" (usually in the next room)
- "I wanna play with mommy's bone (phone)." Or; "No, dis my mommy's bone!"
A few pics of sweet, silly Lola:
