My first Friday we went to my sister's to have lunch with my mom and her 4 sisters. It doesn't happen that often that they all get together as my aunt, Orla, lives in LA. She comes to visit about once every one-two years.
Last week I took the kids to the Pine Grove Zoo in Little Falls and had a picnic. There were hardly any people there so early in the day so we had the run of the place. It was so fun to have a picnic with them. We would've headed home but Ryan came home sick with the stomach flu, so we steered clear and the kids took a mini nap in the car and then they ran errands with me. Running errands with both kids is not something I do very often, but they were very good!
Today we will lay low, try to get the house clean as we are having some friends over before the football game tonight. If the kids are up from their nap I will take them to the homecoming parade as well.
